Short Entry

This one is going to be pretty short. Today was my first day at work. It went well. I had several meetings with the local team to try to understand the capabilities. It's amazing at how fast China is moving forward. It's really something to see.

The highlight of the day was the first cab ride. I took a cab home from our Rockwell office. WOW! It made every other ride seem tame! It was like the chase scene from The Matrix Reloaded. I thought we were after the Key Maker for a while! While we're trying to save the Key Maker from the Merovingian, the radio is bumping Chinese Top 40. Then all of the sudden Eric Clapton, "If I Could Change The World" comes on...a perfect English recording! Also the cab driver sits in a protective shielding that looks like he's going to get launched into the underworld in Running Man. It took 30-45 mins to get back to the hotel. The total 31 RMB...or...about 4 bucks! Not bad for something that puts Cedar Point's best to shame!

  1. Sounds like you are having an exiting time. Wish I was there with you. Reminds me of NY Thanksgiving in the subway. Another time when you had a distinct advantage.

    Have fun and keep breathing.
